The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing financial reporting, accounting practices, and compliance within the department. The Senior Accountant collaborates closely with the team to maintain financial integrity and provide timely financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position plays a key role in the month-end closing process, financial audits, and the overall financial health of the organization. Top Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Ensure the accuracy of general ledger entries and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
Accounting Management:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
Maintain and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
Compliance and Audit Support:
Ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations and standards.
Assist in the preparation of documentation for external audits and internal reviews.
Collaborate with auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any issues or findings.
Financial Analysis:
Provide financial analysis and insights to management, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the finance department.
Monitor financial performance and report on key financial metrics
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
Facilitate training and development for team members on accounting principles and software applications.
Collaborate with the finance team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Performing other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications
BA/MA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
